Student Supports / Pastoral Care

The pastoral care system and positive code of behaviour are strongly linked in the school. We feel by creating an environment of care and support it encourages and reinforces good behaviour. This in turn creates a positive and safe environment for teaching and learning.

This pastoral approach to student welfare forms a key philosophy in the school. In Coláiste na Ríochta we endeavour through the Pastoral Care system to support the welfare of each student.

Pastoral Care is the responsibility of all who are involved in the school and is strongly supported by the year head system, teacher mentoring, the care team, the learning support team, and school completion team.

Over the course of the five years that your child is attending the school they have access to a wide range of support systems that can help in their personal, social and academic progress.

The Christmas exams began on Tuesday 14th for First Years and Wednesday 15th for all other Year groups. They will finish on Friday 17th December. A link to exam timetables for all Year groups is available below.
