This year for our Erasmus Programme we will hae the following trips running;
Individual Mobilities from Spain -Three students, two girls and one boy, from the IES Escultor Daniel school in Logrono, Northern Spain arrived on Monday 6th of October for a two week visit to Colaiste na Riochta staying with host families.
Group Mobility to France
Twelve students and two teachers, Ms. Glynn and Mr. Buckley, travelled to Brussels & Northern France on an Erasmus group trip from the 1st to the 5th of December. On the first day in Brussels we had time to enjoy the city, taking the students on a walking tour of the main sites, ice-skating and shopping at the Christmas markets. On our 2nd day in Brussels, we met our French partner students and teachers and completed some ice-breaker activities in Leopald park. Following this we had a tour of the European parliament; students participated in an interactive parliament debate on two topical issues and we then visited the museum. We then left Brussels and drove to our partner school in France, Lycee Arthur Rimbaud, in Douai. Our students then stayed with their host families for three nights. On the Wednesday we visited the northern French town of Lille, which was really beautiful. On the Thursday, we spent the day in the school, students attended French lessons in various subject areas and in the afternoon, they made some presentations on their school relating to, ‘Student voice’ and ‘Gender Equality’. It was a fantastic trip, our students were great ambassadors for the school, and they made some pen friends for life. The French students and teachers will be visiting Coláiste na Ríochta in April 2026
Individual Mobilities to Spain -Three students from Colaiste na Riochta are travelling to IES Escultor Daniel school in Logrono, Northern Spain, on the 8th of March for two weeks, returning on the 22nd March. They will be attending school in Spain and staying with host families.
