This Thursday is world book day- there are lots of events happening in the school, organised by the English Department, including 1st and 2nd year students dressing up as a character from a book (if they don't want to dress up they're to be in their full uniform and first year PE will bring their kit to change in to) staff are also welcome to dress as a character from any book to if you'd like to get in the spirit of the day!
Free books for all students to be given out in assembly on Thursday
Customised bookmarks created by Michaela's book club- can also be collected from my office for students
Drop Everything And Read- at 10.30am (when the movement bell rings) on Thursday we would ask that yourself and students would stop what you're doing (if possible) and read- all students will have been given a free book and can read on the SORA app for free also.
Book TikTok competition- students are being asked to film and submit a book related tiktok (can be a book review, showing their favourite books, showing them reading in an interesting place.)
Lots of house points to be won on the day too!
