What guidelines are being removed?

Masks are now optional for staff and students in school. However, if members of staff or students wish to continue wearing face masks, we fully support their decision to do so.
What guidelines are remaining?

Infection prevention and control measures including: ventilation, hand washing

, hand sanitisers and good respiratory hygiene measures will remain

The advice to stay at home

if symptomatic will continue with the person requiring to self-isolate and not return to school until 48 hours after symptoms resolve

The requirement to isolate if the person is symptomatic (even if fully vaccinated and/or boosted) or if you are diagnosed with COVID-19. The 7-day isolation period for a positive case remains

Government advice for people over the age of 13, is to then wear a medical grade mask

or FFP2 for 10 days after a positive result.

While the wearing of face coverings on school transport will no longer be mandatory, it is being advised, as is the case on other forms of public transport. All other hygiene measures on school transport, including the provision of hand sanitiser and additional cleaning, and pre-assigned seating will remain in place subject to further review.
We understand that this will be a new transition for staff, students, and parents and as always if you are unsure or need clarity on any of the above guidelines, please contact the school to discuss. We thank you for your continued support in keeping the entire school community safe.
